Man City vs Dortmund lineups: Starting XI, confirmed team news today, injury latest for Champions League

Manchester City have a number of rested stars back in their starting lineup to face Borussia Dortmund as the Champions League quarter-finals kick off tonight with the first-leg clashes.

City’s main aim this season, and any season, is the Champions League, and are preparing for the tie with a fully fit squad to choose from.

John Stones, Joao Cancelo, Raheem Sterling, Phil Foden and Ilkay Gundogan all come back into Pep Guardiola’s starting line-up after being rested for the win over Leicester City.

Cancelo will be on a tightrope as he is just one booking away from missing the second leg through suspension. Fernandinho, who should drop out, is in the same boat.

For Dortmund, they will have to do without Jadon Sancho. The winger is denied a reunion with his former club due to a thigh injury, but an outing in the second leg is looking likely.

Another English star, Jude Bellingham, does start, while Erling Haaland is also one booking away from suspension.

Manchester City starting XI: Ederson, Walker, Dias, Stones, Cancelo, Rodrigo, Gundogan, Bernardo, Foden, Mahrez, De Bruyne

Borussia Dortmund starting XI: Hitz, Guerreiro, Hummels, Akanji, Morey, Can, Dahoud, Bellingham, Knauff, Reus, Haaland
