Man City vs Chelsea: Prediction, team news, lineups, TV, live stream, H2H, odds - Premier League 19/20 preview

Manchester City and Chelsea face off after the international break with both sides looking to cut into Liverpool's Premier League dominance.

Liverpool beat Man City 3-1 at Anfield to head into the international break nine points ahead of the champions - a result which also allowed Chelsea and Leicester City to leapfrog Pep Guardiola's side.

The champions now sit a lowly fourth by their standards, and cannot realistically afford any more defeats if they are to haul in Jurgen Klopp's pace-setters.

As for Chelsea, Frank Lampard's young squad are flying high and will be full of confidence heading to Etihad Stadium - and a win in Manchester would do little to dampen suggestions of an unlikely title challenge.

Premier League preview

Man City vs Chelsea
Venue:
Etihad Stadium
Kick-off time: 5:30pm GMT, Saturday November 23

Prediction

Man City 2-1 Chelsea

Lampard's Blues will fancy their chances of an upset at the Etihad. If they play the same aggressive pressing game as they did against Crystal Palace, Chelsea could cause Guardiola's men serious problems.

However, Man City have scored 35 goals in 12 League games already, and a young Chelsea defence will be tested to the absolute limit.

Team news (after the international break)

Bernardo Silva will be suspended following a one-match ban he received over a tweet he sent about team-mate Benjamin Mendy. The Portuguese posted pictures of Mendy as a child alongside the mascot for Spanish confectionery firm Conguitos on September 22.

He immediately deleted it but was charged by the Football Association, which has now imposed a suspension, a £50,000 fine and ordered him to complete face-to-face education.

Guardiola will be hoping Ederson recovers from a thigh strain, though Leroy Sane, Aymeric Laporte and Aleks Zinchenko are out of action for the champions.

Christian Pulisic pulled out of international duty for the US due to a hip injury, though Chelsea are optimistic the forward will be available.

Chelsea also hope Ross Barkley will be back, while Jorginho is free to return after serving a suspension against Palace.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Antonio Rudiger are out, but are likely to be back by mid-December.

Predicted lineups

Man City: Ederson; Walker. Stones, Fernandinho, Mendy; David Silva, Rodri, De Bruyne; Mahrez, Sterling, Aguero

Chelsea: Kepa; Azpilicueta, Zouma, Tomori, Emerson; Kovacic, Jorginho, Kante; Mount, Abraham, Pulisic
