Man City vs Burnley: Prediction, kick-off time, team news, TV, live stream, h2h results, odds today

Man City welcome Burnley to the Etihad Stadium - (ES Composite)

Scott Parker’s Burnley could shoot up the Premier League table this afternoon if they can pull off a shock upset away to Manchester City.

The Clarets have only won once this season, and have their work cut out for them today as they chase a second.

Pep Guardiola’s side have put together a four-game unbeaten run across all competitions, winning three and taking a point away at fellow title contenders Arsenal last weekend.

While City go into this fixture having progressed in the Carabao Cup, Burnley were beaten by League One outfit Cardiff and are now without a win in four.

Granted, Scott Parker’s side have faced Manchester United and Liverpool during this period and another daunting task awaits this weekend.

Date, kick-off time and venue

Man City vs Burnley is scheduled for a 3pm BST kick-off today, Saturday, September 27, 2025.

The match will take place at the Etihad Stadium, Manchester.

Man City vs Burnley team news

Guardiola is expected to recall the likes of Erling Haaland, Rodri, Gianluigi Donnarumma, Ruben Dias, Jeremy Doku and captain Bernardo Silva after they were rested for the midweek win over Huddersfield.

Phil Foden could keep his place in the side and Savinho will be pushing to start for the first time in the Premier League this season after scoring at the John Smith’s Stadium.

Abdukodir Khusanov is set to miss the visit of Burnley through injury, thus joining Rayan Cherki, Omar Marmoush and Mateo Kovacic on the sidelines.

Rayan Ait-Nouri remains a doubt after missing the last four games.

Kyle Walker is in contention to face his former club for the first time since leaving in the summer. The experienced right-back was rested for the midweek cup tie against Cardiff so should be fresh.

Burnley could welcome back Jacob Bruun Larsen into the squad, but long-term absentee Zeki Amdouni is unavailable for selection alongside Jordan Beyer and Connor Roberts.

Trips to the Etihad for Burnley have been painful in recent years and it’s hard to see that changing this weekend. Man City are in decent form and we expect them to claim all three points.

Haaland has five goals in three appearances against the Clarets, and will be out to boost his golden boot hopes.

Man City to win, 3-0.
