Manchester City vs Burnley
FA Cup fourth round
Venue: Etihad Stadium
Date: Saturday, January 26, 2019
Kick-off: 3pm GMT
Manchester City are still battling on four fronts this season as they continue their FA Cup campaign at home to Burnley.
Pep Guardiola's side booked their place in the EFL Cup final this week courtesy of a 10-aggregate win over Burton Albion on Wednesday.
City crashed out of this competition at the fifth round last season after defeat to Wigan Athletic. A better run this time around is expected.
Man City team news and predicted line-up
Vincent Kompany is City's only absentee with Guardiola promising to field a strong side at the Etihad on Saturday.
"Always we try to make a strong team," said Guardiola in his pre-match press conference.
"It is FA Cup against a Premier League side in Burnley. We are going to play with the best team we believe to win the game."
Burnley meanwhile remain without Aaron Lennon and Jonathan Walters with Matthew Lowton a mjor doubt. Johann Berg Gudmondsson and Philipp Bardsley will both undergo late fitness tests.
Score prediction: Manchester City 3-0 Burnley
Even had he not been afforded the luxury of resting some key first-team players midweek, you would still fear for Burnley.
Guardiola has a fresh and fully motivated squad to choose from and having seen his side score 23 times without reply in their last five games, he will be confident of progression into the next round.
