Man City vs Brighton LIVE: FA Cup semi-final 2019 commentary stream, TV channel, line-ups, score prediction

Man City vs Brighton LIVE
FA Cup semi-final 2018-19
Venue: Wembley
Date: Saturday, 6 April, 2019
Kick-off: 5:30pm GMT, today

Manchester City can take another step towards claiming an unprecedented quadruple when they meet Brighton in the semi-finals of the FA Cup today.

The EFL Cup winners and Premier League leaders are heavy favourites to reach the competition showpiece for the first time since 2013 after coming back from two goals down to beat Championship side Swansea in dramatic fashion last month.

Pep Guardiola's dominant side, who are also through to the quarter-finals of the Champions League, previously thrashed Rotherham 7-0 before also beating Burnley and fourth-tier Newport.

After wins over Bournemouth, West Brom and Derby, Brighton secured their place in the last four in similarly dramatic fashion with a penalty shootout win over Millwall.

Man City vs Brighton team news and line-ups

Man City XI: Ederson, Walker, Otamendi, Laporte, Mendy, De Bruyne, Gundogan, Silva, Bernardo Silva, Gabriel Jesus, Sterling

Subs: Danilo, Stones, Sane, Fernandinho, Mahrez, Foden, Muric

Brighton XI: Ryan, Montoya, Duffy, Dunk, Bernardo, Knockaert, Stephens, Propper, Jahanbakhsh, Bissouma, Murray

Subs: Saltor, Bong, Locadia, Andone, Izquierdo, Button, Burn

Referee: Anthony Taylor (Cheshire)

Score prediction: Man City 2-0 Brighton

The odds are firmly stacked against Brighton, who are still nervously looking over their shoulders in the league and will be fancied by very few to stop the City juggernaut.

A one-off tie at a neutral venue may offer some hope of an upset, but it would take a very brave person to back against Guardiola and co reaching another final.

TV channel and live stream, and online coverage

The match will be televised live for free in the UK on BBC One. Viewers with a valid TV licence will be able to stream the match online via the BBC iPlayer.

Head to head (h2h) history and results

These two teams have met three times in the Premier League, with City winning each game, scoring seven goals and conceding just one.

In September, Raheem Sterling and Aguero both notched in a 2-0 win for Guardiola's men at the Etihad. They will meet again on the final day of the top-flight campaign.
