Man City vs Bournemouth LIVE stream: Premier League 2018-19 as it happened - result and reaction

Manchester City 3 Bournemouth 1
Premier League 2018-19
Venue: Etihad Stadium, Manchester
Date: Saturday, December 1, 2018

Raheem Sterling and Ilkay Gundogan struck in the second half as Manchester City extended their Premier League lead to five points by beating Bournemouth 3-1.

The Premier League champions had been pegged back by a Callum Wilson equaliser on the stroke of half-time after taking an early lead through Bernardo Silva at the Etihad Stadium.

Pep Guardiola's side let their pace drop at times but Sterling responded and hit the post before putting the hosts back ahead, and Gundogan made victory certain.

Gabriel Jesus, Bernardo Silva and Ilkay Gundogan will all face late fitness tests for City.

All three missed Tuesday’s Champions League tie with Lyon, but Pep Guardiola will run the rule over them in a final training session on Friday.

Kevin de Bruyne, who is still recovering from knee ligament damage, is also progressing, but is expected to miss the upcoming games against Bournemouth and Watford.

City fear next week’s crunch game against Chelsea will come too soon for the Belgian.

Bernardo is nearing a return from a muscle injury, while Gundogan hurt his foot against West Ham last week and Jesus suffered an adductor problem in training.

Man City injury, suspension list

Player Condition
Bernardo Silva Knee (fitness test)
Gabriel Jesus Knee (fitness test)
Ilkay Gundogan Knee (fitness test)
Kevin De Bruyne Knee (out)
Benjamin Mendy Knee (out)
Claudio Bravo Achilles (out)
Eliaquim Mangala Knee (out)

Midfielder Dan Gosling is a doubt for Bournemouth's trip to Manchester City.

Gosling sustained a minor knee injury in the defeat against Arsenal and has not trained for the Cherries this week.

Jefferson Lerma is unavailable through suspension, while Adam Smith (knee) is also an absentee.

Provisional squad: Begovic, Daniels, Ake, Francis, S Cook, L Cook, Fraser, Ibe, Wilson, King, Brooks, Defoe, Gosling, Mousset, Pugh, Boruc, Surman.
