Manchester City have launched their new third kit for the 2021/22 season.
Puma's offerings for the new campaign have split opinions amongst supporters, with the new home kit which paid tribute to Sergio Aguero's Premier League-winning goal against QPR in 2012 receiving a mixed reaction.
The white away kit with a striking purple and blue gradient trim went down much better and now their is another kit to be judged.
City have completed their kit collection for the season by unveiling their new third kit but is a far departure from the jerseys the Blues have typically worn down the years.
The shirt is navy blue - so far so normal - but then things take a strange turn as the club's crest is not featured prominently on the front of the shirt.
Instead, there are just the words 'Man City' emblazed across the chest in sky blue, with the Puma logo positioned centrally above and the Etihad Airways sponsor below, both in white.
The badge in its usual colour form has been moved to the back of the neck, while the front of the shirt has a design of the club badge subtly and repeatedly stamped across the torso.
This is an unusual design but one Puma have implemented for many of the clubs they manufacture kits for this season, with AC Milan, Marseille, Borussia Dortmund, PSV Eindhoven, Valencia and several others all getting the same template.
The shirt will be accompanied by navy blue shorts and navy blue socks with sky blue trim and 'City' written in white. The goalkeeper shirt is also in the same template but in mint green with black detailing.
After the release of the sky blue home shirt and white away shirt, the third kit must be a darker shade in order to comply with rules that ensure clubs have a light and dark option for change strips.
