Manchester City's worst-kept secret is out - their new home kit for the 2021/22 season.
The sky blue shirt features the '93:20' scoreboard pattern in recognition of Sergio Aguero's historic Premier League title-winning goal in 2012, ten seasons ago.
Aguero departed City this summer to join Barcelona, but will be immortalised with a statue, and he was given a mosaic at the City Football Academy. The club legend will be further remembered for arguably his greatest ever moment at the Etihad, in his first season, when he smashed home the winner over QPR on the last day in injury time to win the title for the Blues.
The timestamp of that goal, which has become a reference point for City fans, is printed on the inside of the collar of the new v-neck shirts, while the number '10' is highlighted within the same number. The shirt is textured with a traditional scoreboard pattern, while there is a white stripe down either side.
The Puma and Etihad sponsors are in white, just as the 2011/12 shirt was, while the shorts will be sky blue with hooped white socks.
City say: "The new home jersey combines 100% recycled polyester with advanced PUMA dryCELL thermoregulation technology to ensure uncompromising fit and mobility, keeping the athlete dry and comfortable.
"An ultra-light jacquard structure is integrated into the back of the jersey to enhance breathability during intense performance."
Aguero was part of City's promotional material for unveiling the new shirt, along with members of the first team for the men's and women's squads, plus former players like Joleon Lescott and Micah Richards.
The goalkeeper jersey will be green with yellow horizontal and vertical stripes.
The kit had been leaked online for some time, with various promotional shots doing the rounds on social media. It had even been featured on the FIFA 22 trailer prior to the official release.
