Manchester City are set to beat rivals Manchester United to Joao Felix after triggering his release clause.
Forward Felix is among the most in demand teenagers in Europe with City, United and Real Madrid heading the queue.
But Pep Guardiola's side are not in the box-seat after they agreed to break his £106million release clause on his contract, according to the Sun.
Benfica are in a strong position with the transfer and have already admitted they have no intention to sell for any less than the release clause.
The Portuguese titans have reportedly snubbed a £80m offer from Real Madrid, while United have also been rebuffed this summer.
Felix has previously poured cold water on the prospect of leaving Benfica this summer.
Felix told Benfica’s official website in May: "I think that time will tell.
"I’m good here, I’m very happy, I love the club, I adore these fans who adore me.
"I want to enjoy the moment, play football, have fun doing what I like, and then, over time, things happen naturally.
"I am very happy in Benfica."
Felix enjoyed a stunning campaign in the Primeira Liga to help Benfica finish in top spot - beating Porto to the crown by two points.
The 19-year-old netted 15 goals in 26 appearances in the league, while also laying on nine assists.
But it was his eye-catching hat-trick against Eintracht Frankfurt in the Champions League that earned his in-demand title - he was also the first teenager to make the feat since Sergio Aguero.
Felix's wonder season has earned him the chance to make his international debut against Switzerland in the Nations League this week.
Portugal coach Fernando Santos reckons he is ready.
Santos said: "He's been called up for a reason. We need players who can contribute and he has great qualities. He has been showing it at club level and he's here on merit. If he's here it's because he's ready to play and contribute."
