Aymeric Laporte has boosted Manchester City 's Champions League hopes by re-joining the squad as it travels to Germany to face Borussia Dortmund.
The defender missed the weekend defeat by Leeds after suffering a hip problem in training but has flown out for the second leg of the quarter-final.
Laporte is a live option for manager Pep Guardiola, who confessed that the lack of a left-footed centre back had restricted City's possibilities in the first leg, which the Blues won 2-1.
He could replace John Stones, with Ruben Dias a virtual cert to start.
Asked about the two players who missed the game at the weekend - Laporte and Sergio Aguero - Guardiola said: "Aymeric yes, Sergio not yet. He has a little, little - not a big issue - muscular problem and he is not ready."
The Blues have taken a 22-man squad to Germany, with young keeper James Trafford stepping in for Scott Carson as third choice.
TRAVELLING SQUAD: Ederson, Steffen, Trafford, Walker, Dias, Stones, Ake, Laporte, Garcia, Cancelo, Mendy, Zinchenko, Rodri, Fernandinho, Gundogan, De Bruyne, Sterling, Jesus, Bernardo, Torres, Mahrez, Foden
