Aside from centre-forward, what positions do City need to strengthen in upcoming transfer windows? Let us know in the comments below!
Vlahovic set for Fiorentina stay
According to Sky Sports, Fiorentina sensation Dusan Vlahovic is likely to stay at Fiorentina this month.
City have been linked with the Serbian forward, while Arsenal have been credited with a strong interest in recent weeks.
However, it's said the amount needed to prise Vlahovic away from Florence will put off any potential January suitors. The striker would also reportedly prefer to sign for a team playing in the Champions League.
City are almost certain to be playing in Europe's elite club competition next term, while Arsenal are currently in fourth place and in a competitive fight for a Champions League berth.
City linked to Badiashile
According to RMC Sport (h/t Sport Witness), Manchester City are the latest club to show an interest in Monaco defender Benoit Badiashile.
The 20-year-old has made encouraging progress with the principality club and possesses all the tools needed to develop into a high-class operator.
A number of clubs have been liked with Badiashile, including Manchester United, Newcastle United and Wolverhampton Wanderers.
It's said in the report that City will only act on the interest if they move on Nathan Ake in the mid-season window. The Dutchman is currently fourth choice in the centre-back pecking order behind Aymeric Laporte, Ruben Dias and John Stones.

City chase Brazilian starlet
According to Bolavip (h/t Sport Witness), City are seriously interested in signing Flamengo's rising star Matheus Franca.
Real Madrid are also said to be in the hunt for the 17-year-old, although the Premier League side are poised to part with a "truckload of money" to win the race for his signature.
Franca has a €100 million release clause in his current contract, meaning Flamengo are not under any immediate pressure to sell. However, City have reportedly already initiated talks with the player's representatives and "will not measure efforts" in the pursuit of his signature.
