Football Transfer Tavern claim City have agreed a £45million fee with Chelsea for Nathan Ake.
Ake has already agreed personal terms with Chelsea to return to Stamford Bridge and the report claims the two clubs have also settled on the structure of his transfer.
Ake joined City two years ago from Bournemouth, but has been unable to hold down a regular place at the Etihad.

Moleiro, 19, has been compared to Barcelona and Spain's Pedri because of his talent and the attacking midfielder is expected to leave Las Palmas this summer.
Barcelona have reportedly offered around £10million and Las Palmas want more for their prized asset.
Barcelona cannot afford every player they are chasing this summer because of the financial problems and this could open the door for City, who are said to be admirers of Moleiro.

The 72 website carry a claim by transfer guru Fabrizio Romano that Southampton and Burnley are fighting to land Liam Delap from City.
Delap, 19 has been banging the goals in for City's Under-23 and youth sides, but may find his progress hampered at senior level by the signing of Haaland and Alvarez.
Southampton would like to sign him permanently, while Burnley's boss and City legend Vincent Kompany would like him on loan.
