Man City transfer news: Chelsea 'agree' fee for Ake and City battle Barcelona for starlet

Raheem Sterling has joined Gabriel Jesus is quitting Manchester City for the capital after the England star sealed his £50million move to Chelsea.

Pep Guardiola granted Sterling his wish to leave when he said he wanted to go and felt his attack needed a shake-up, signing Erling Haaland and Julian Alvarez this summer.

Question marks remain over the future of teenage striker Liam Delap and Nathan Ake, while City continue to monitor Brighton's Spanish defender Marc Cucurella.

Mirror Sport has the latest transfer news from City, including updates on Ake and Delap.

Chelsea agree fee with City for Ake

Football Transfer Tavern claim City have agreed a £45million fee with Chelsea for Nathan Ake.

Ake has already agreed personal terms with Chelsea to return to Stamford Bridge and the report claims the two clubs have also settled on the structure of his transfer.

Ake joined City two years ago from Bournemouth, but has been unable to hold down a regular place at the Etihad.

Chelsea are rebuilding their defence following the summer departures of Andreas Christensen and Antonio Rudiger and are also signing Kalidou Koulibaly from Napoli for £34million.

City could beat Barca to sign the new Pedri

HITC carry a report from Mundo Deportivo that Manchester City could pip Barcelona to sign Spanish wonderkid Alberto Moleiro.

Moleiro, 19, has been compared to Barcelona and Spain's Pedri because of his talent and the attacking midfielder is expected to leave Las Palmas this summer.

Barcelona have reportedly offered around £10million and Las Palmas want more for their prized asset.

Barcelona cannot afford every player they are chasing this summer because of the financial problems and this could open the door for City, who are said to be admirers of Moleiro.

City starlet wanted by Southampton and Burnley

The 72 website carry a claim by transfer guru Fabrizio Romano that Southampton and Burnley are fighting to land Liam Delap from City.

Delap, 19 has been banging the goals in for City's Under-23 and youth sides, but may find his progress hampered at senior level by the signing of Haaland and Alvarez.

Southampton would like to sign him permanently, while Burnley's boss and City legend Vincent Kompany would like him on loan.

City may be inclined to lean towards the loan option and they have already let England Under-21 Taylor Harwood-Bellis join the Clarets for next season on a temporary arrangement.
