Man City told there's 'no reason' they shouldn't win the Champions League this season

Man City have no reason not to win the Champions League this season, according to Gabriel Agbonlahor.

City won ten out of 12 games in last season's Champions League tournament only drawing with Porto until they lost to Chelsea in the final in Porto to remain without a European Cup title in their history.

They've since added £100m playmaker Jack Grealish to their squad and while they failed to replace the departing Sergio Aguero during the summer window, former Aston Villa striker Agbonlahor says they have "no reason" not to win the Champions League this season.

"If you look at Man City there's no reason why they shouldn't be winning it," he told talkSPORT.

"You look at this season, no Foden, no De Bruyne, they could come back in tonight. You can't really pick a Manchester City team, you can't even guess who they're going to play. To have that many quality players they should be winning the Champions League.

"But, you look at PSG bringing in Messi, Hakimi, Ramos, Wijnaldum. It's going to be tough, there's so many good teams. Bayern Munich, they've not won it for a few years, they're going to want to get back into it. Real Madrid have brought in a few players, so it's going to be really tough even though they've got an outstanding team.

"He knows himself that it's going to be tough to win."

City have been drawn in a tough group alongside Paris Saint-Germain, Club Brugge and RB Leipzig who they open their campaign against tonight in the Etihad Stadium.
