Man City to rival Manchester United for wonderkid and more transfer rumours

Manchester City are set to battle Chelsea to sign Marseille wonderkid Boubacar Kamara.

Le 10 Sport claim the 20-year-old could be sold in order to balance their books and City are reportedly keeping tabs on him.

City will apparently face competition from the likes of Arsenal and Manchester United, but may be willing to spend up to €32million (£27.9m) on the midfielder.

Elsewhere, reports in Spain suggest City are keeping tabs on Argentina wonderkid Thiago Almada.

Atletico Madrid are said to be very keen on the 18-year-old, but AS state that City are in competition for the attacker.

Almada has a €22m (£19.2m) release clause, but that will rise to €25m (£21.8m) from the end of August.

Apparently Atletico are not willing to pay that much for the young star, and want him to put pressure on his club Velez Sarsfield to lower the price.

Meanwhile, City are said to be keeping "a close eye" on two players from KV Mechelen: Aster Vranckx and Issa Kabore.

Gazet van Antwerpen (via Sport Witness ) say the duo are "highly regarded" and that City have scouted both players several times already this season.

However, City could face strong competition from clubs across Europe, with Milan apparently keeping track of Vranckx, while a number of clubs are said to be interested in Kabore.
