Man City to rival Man United and Real Madrid for Brazilian wonderkid and more transfer rumours

Manchester City are interested in signing Brazilian youth international Vinicius Tobais, according to reports.

The 16-year-old right-sided player for Internacional is apparently interesting City, who have just signed 17-year-old Brazilian Yan Couto from Cortiba.

Tuttomercatoweb say City are hopeful of agreeing a deal to sign Vinicius and he would officially move to the club when he turned 18. They describe him as one of the best 16-year-old's in South America.

However, the report adds that City's rivals Manchester United are also tracking the youngster, along with Spanish giants Real Madrid.

Meanwhile, City's interest in Barcelona full-back Nelson Semedo is reportedly being exaggerated.

It had been claimed City are looking at Semedo to replace Joao Cancelo, who could be set to leave the Etihad this summer.

A three-way transfer involving Semedo, Cancelo and Inter Milan's Lautaro Martinez has been rumoured for the last few weeks, which would see Cancelo move to Barcelona with Semedo joining City, before Barca would use Cancelo to off-set the cost of signing Martinez.

But now, Marca (via SportWitness) says Semedo has been offered to City but their interest has been overplayed in previous reports.

Instead, they say City are not as interested in Semedo as has been made out, partly because a swap deal including Cancelo might be difficult to pull off while adhering to Financial Fair Play regulations.
