Manchester City have expressed an interest in Swansea City's Daniel James, according to reports .
The youngster's sensational form since the turn of the year has alerted top-flight clubs, with his latest match-winning display in Wales' 1-0 over Slovakia earning him rave reviews from the wider footballing world.
The news will come as a blow to Leeds United, who were extremely close to sealing James' signature in January.
Having courted him for months, Marcelo Biesla thought he had his man only for the deal to collapse minutes before the 11pm deadline.
All indications pointed to them returning in the summer but with Pep Guardiola now keen, the Elland Road side could well be forced out of the reckoning.

What makes James even more attractive to City is the fact he is a home-grown talent.
James is currently in contract talks with Swansea, saying after the game against Slovakia: "No, that's still under way. It's about concentrating on the football for me."
Guardiola knows all about what James can do after the starlet terrorised the City backline in their recent FA Cup clash at the Liberty Stadium.
"They had courage to play and they played good," the Spaniard said after his side's 3-2 victory.
"(Daniel) James is incredibly fast, so it's not easy. We knew that, we spoke about it. We had a real test, especially after the adrenaline of the Champions League."
