Man City to make move for £43m Lyon midfielder and more transfer rumours

Manchester City are reported to be ready to make formal contact with Lyon over midfielder Houssem Aouar.

RMC claim that the club will make a move for the 21-year-old once the coronavirus pandemic is over.

However, the club won’t be alone in their interest in the player, with Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain also said to be keeping an eye one the Frenchman ahead of the window.

The report claims that Lyon won’t stand in the way of Aouar moving on this summer, but will demand a fee of at least £43million for the player.

Aouar has scored nine times and provided seven assists from midfield in all competitions so far this season.

Meanwhile, City are said to be facing competition from Wolves and a number of other European clubs for 18-year-old winger Facundo Pellistri.

The teenager has broken into the first team of Uruguayan club Penarol this season, making five appearances in all competitions after making his way through the academy set-up at the club.

City are one of a number of clubs to be linked with the player, but according to AS (via SportWitness), fellow Premier League side Wolves have made the first move for the player.

Real Madrid, Napoli, Atalanta, Bologna, Atletico Madrid, Valencia and Almeria are also said to be interested in the youngster.
