Man City to face Middlesbrough or Newport in FA Cup 5th round

Manchester City have been drawn against Middlesbrough or Newport County in the fifth round of the FA Cup.

Pep Guardiola's Premier League champions are in ominous form in the cup, scoring 12 goals in just two games - 7-0 vs Rotherman and 5-0 vs Burnley - to reach the last-16 of the competition.

City may have grander ambitions than the FA Cup as they bid to defend their League title while also going in search of their first ever Champions League triumph, but silverware is always welcome at the Etihad.

Guardiola would fancy his chances of beating any team in England, but the fact that Liverpool, Arsenal and Tottenham have already been eliminated could open up a clear run to win a trophy which has so far eluded him at City.

The club have won the FA Cup five times in their history - in 1904, 1934, 1956, 1969 and 2011.

The last time City lifted the trophy, they beat Stoke City 1-0 in the final with Yaya Toure scoring the winning goal.
