Man City to battle Liverpool FC and Manchester United for Adama Traore and more transfer rumours

Manchester City will face stiff competition from Liverpool and neighbours Manchester United for Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Adama Traore, according to reports.

While still going strong in the Champions League, City have seen their grip of dominance on the Premier League slip this season and will almost certainly lose their crown when football resumes in England.

As a result, Pep Guardiola may look to refresh his squad in the summer transfer window and the flanks could be an area that sees improvement, especially with the continued uncertainty surrounding Leroy Sane's future at the club.

If the German does depart, the Blues have felt first-hand twice this season just how effective Traore can be out wide.

The lightning-quick winger scored both goals in a shock 2-0 victory for Wolves at the Etihad earlier in the season and then in the return fixture he scored and grabbed a great assist in a thrilling 3-2 win.

According to Le10Sport, City, United and Liverpool are positioned to battle for Traore in the summer after his brilliant campaign in the Black Country, in which he has scored six goals and set up 10.

It's reported that German giants Bayern Munich are also interested but since the 24-year-old has three years remaining on his contract he won't go on the cheap.

Meanwhile, reports suggest Pep Guardiola is keen to sign former Arsenal star Ismael Bennacer.

The midfielder has impressed for AC Milan this season and Foot Mercato claim Pep Guardiola is a huge fan of Riyad Mahrez's international teammate.

Bennacer is reportedly open to the idea of returning to England.
