Man City 'tell Leicester City' how much they will pay for Harry Maguire

Manchester City have reportedly told Leicester that they are willing to pay £65m for Harry Maguire.

City want Maguire to succeed Vincent Kompany in defence after the Belgian departed this summer, but the Foxes do not need to sell and reports say they will demand a world record fee for the England man.

Sky Sports say Manchester United have also informed Leicester that they will pay £65m for Maguire, but the 2016 Premier League champions have informed both Manchester clubs that they want more than £75m.

That would eclipse the fee Liverpool paid for Virgil Van Dijk, and reflects Leicester's stance that they do not want to sell their top defender.

The £65m offer would represent a club record transfer fee from City's perspective, after paying Leicester £60m for Riyad Mahrez last year. But the report suggests the Blues will have to send more money to the King Power Stadium if they wish to sign Maguire before the end of the transfer window.

Meanwhile, City representatives have reportedly met Juventus sporting director Fabio Paratici in London to discuss a deal for Joao Cancelo.

Tuttomercato (via the Daily Mail) say the parties have met to resolve the two clubs' differing valuations for Cancelo, with City wanting to pay €50m (£44m) and Juve holding out for around €50m.

The report adds Danilo could still be included as part of the deal, despite previous updates suggesting any deal for Danilo would be separate to the Cancelo negoatiations.

Finally, according to Fotomac in Turkey, Fenerbahce are interested in signing City youngster Douglas Luiz on a permanent deal.

The report (via SportWitness) says the Turkish club would also be interested in taking Luiz on loan, as it remains unlikely he will get a work permit to play in the UK next season.
