Man City team vs Swansea in FA Cup includes Torres, Bernardo and Jesus as Foden is rested

Pep Guardiola has made a number of changes to his Manchester City side for the FA Cup tie at Swansea.

After seeing off Liverpool at the weekend to extend City's winning run to 14 games, Guardiola has used the fifth round tie against the Championship side to rest some of the players he has relied upon in recent weeks.

Ederson gets a rest as expected, with cup goalkeeper Zack Steffen coming in after playing in the two previous rounds.

In defence, Kyle Walker is fit enough to start after missing the trip to Liverpool, with Eric Garcia and Aymeric Laporte in central defence. Benjamin Mendy features for the first time since the last round at Cheltenham.

Club captain Fernandinho is absent all together, so Rodri resumes in defensive midfield, with the in-form duo of Ilkay Gundogan and Bernardo Silva in central midfield.

And in attack, Gabriel Jesus is back in the attack, with Ferran Torres and Raheem Sterling in support

Guardiola said he would use some academy players in his travelling squad, and Tommy Doyle, Claudio Gomes and Adrian Bernabe could get some valuable experience from the bench. As has been the case this season in the FA Cup, City can use five changes in this game if they desire. Ruben Dias gets a rest all together.

Man City starting XI vs Swansea: Steffen, Walker, Garcia, Laporte, Mendy, Rodrigo, Gundogan, Bernardo, Torres, Sterling (C), Jesus

Substitutes: Ederson, Stones, Zinchenko, Mahrez, Cancelo, Foden, Doyle, Gomes, Bernabe
