Pep Guardiola has picked Aymeric Laporte and Fernandinho in his Manchester City starting XI to take on Sheffield United in the Premier League.
City can go four points clear at the top of the Premier League, albeit temporarily with victory over Sheffield United, but the Blades were victorious at Manchester United this week and will be full of confidence of causing another big shock.
After City brushed aside West Brom in style, Guardiola has kept with most of the side who were so impressive at the Hawthorns. Ilkay Gundogan starts as expected after the manager confirmed he would not be rested as he continues to be clinical infront of goal. However, Guardiola did rest a number of regular starters from recent weeks, with Joao Cancelo, Rodri, John Stones and Raheem Sterling all benched.
In defence, Laporte and Kyle Walker returned to replace Stones and Cancelo, with Ruben Dias and Aleks Zinchenko keeping their places.
Alongside Gundogan in midfield, Fernandinho replaces Rodri and Bernardo Silva completes the trio.
In attack Phil Foden is in form and keeps his place, while Ferran Torres is a surprise inclusion. Gabriel Jesus is returned to the starting line up after dropping out at West Brom.
Guardiola can call upon those who were replaced today, as well as Riyad Mahrez, from the bench.
