Man City striker Gabriel Jesus makes Mikel Arteta admission amid Arsenal FC speculation

Man City star Gabriel Jesus has admitted he doesn't know what the future holds for Mikel Arteta amid speculation that Arsenal want him as their new manager, but thinks he's already a 'fantastic' manager.

Arteta joined City upon his retirement from playing in 2016 to link up with Pep Guardiola's coaching staff at the Etihad.

The Spaniard had spent the last five years of his career at Arsenal, and even captained the side, and is now one of the candidates to take over the vacant managerial job at the club.

The Gunners have been without a manager since Unai Emery was sacked in November after 18 months in charge, with club legend Freddie Ljungberg taking temporary charge.

Ljungberg has presided over just one win in the four games since he was installed as interim manager and it's expected Arsenal will look elsewhere to fill the role on a permanent basis.

Areta is the current favourite for the job alongside Carlo Ancelotti and Jesus has admitted he doesn't know what the future holds for the 'fantastic' coach.

"He's helped a lot of players. When I want to do finishing after training, I tell him and he comes and helps me," the Brazilian said.

"So he is really fantastic for us. All the players know that — everyone knows that in the club. He is a fantastic guy and fantastic manager.

"I don't honestly know what he thinks about his career, that is for him. I hope he can find his way and I hope he can be happy."
