Man City still tipped to win the Premier League ahead of Liverpool FC despite Norwich blip

Manchester City are still odds-on favourites to win the Premier League despite falling five points behind leaders Liverpool.

City suffered a shock 3-2 defeat at Norwich City on Saturday evening with Liverpool defeating Newcastle United 3-1 earlier in the day.

Liverpool now have 15 points after winning all five of their matches with City in second on ten after slipping up against Spurs and Norwich.

Jurgen Klopp's side have now lost just one of their last 44 matches but it seems that Man City are still favourites to retain the title.

They are 4/6 with The Pools to clinch the Premier League title in May with Liverpool available at 11/8 despite sitting pretty at the top of the league.

Speaking after the defeat on Saturday, Guardiola has pointed out the season is only in its early stages and jokingly claimed the championship should already be heading to Anfield.

"We are in September, okay?" he said. "Congratulations Liverpool, you are the champions…

"We’re in September, what do you have to do? We’ll recover, train and come back.

"We’ve dropped five points. Tottenham, we played incredibly well. Today, in the important parts we have to know exactly what to do."
