Man City starting XI vs Bournemouth includes Fernandinho and David Silva

Pep Guardiola has rotated his Manchester City side once again for the visit of struggling Bournemouth, as the FA Cup semi-final against Arsenal approaches.

Guardiola has made no secret that Saturday's showdown against Arsenal at Wembley is City's priority, after the Blues secured Champions League qualification last week. However, in his programme notes, the manager insisted he would only name his team against Bournemouth with this game in mind and not the forthcoming cup clash.

And Guardiola stuck to his word by naming a strong side as the relegation-threatened Cherries visit the Etihad, with David Silva and Phil Foden named in the starting XI.

Ederson starts in goal, with both centre-backs changed as John Stones and Nicolas Otamendi come in.

Kyle Walker and Benjamin Mendy continue at full-back, with Fernandinho starting in defensive midfield for just the second time this season.

David Silva and Ilkay Gundogan play in midfield as Kevin de Bruyne earns a deserved rest, while Phil Foden and Bernardo Silva are named on the wing.

Gabriel Jesus continues up front in the absence of Sergio Aguero.

Manchester City starting XI vs Bournemouth: Ederson, Walker, Stones, Otamendi, Mendy, Fernandinho, Gundogan, D Silva (C), Foden, Bernardo, G Jesus.

Substitutes: Carson, Sterling, Zinchenko, Laporte, Rodrigo, De Bruyne, Mahrez, Garcia, Doyle.
