Man City stars train at Tottenham's new stadium ahead of Champions League quarter-final

Manchester City have been pictured training at Tottenham’s new stadium, ahead of the pair’s meeting in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final tomorrow.

City will be the first visitors to the new ground in European competition, following its formal opening for Spurs’ Premier League triumph over Crystal Palace last week.

However, Belgian midfielder Kevin De Bruyne was quick to dismiss suggestions that the new stadium could be a crucial factor in derailing City’s hopes of a historic quadruple.

“I don’t care about the stadium,” said the Belgium international. “I care about the team we play.

“Everybody talks about the stadium like it’s something special. Everybody has a stadium. Everybody has supporters.”

Pep Guardiola’s side have been boosted by the returns of key men, including De Bruyne, Fernandinho and Benjamin Mendy in recent weeks, but may well be without top scorer Sergio Aguero, after he missed Saturday’s FA Cup semi-final win over Brighton through injury.
