Porto on the horizon
Manchester City start a comparatively kinder set of Premier League fixtures with two Champions League matches still to accommodate.
Porto away will not be easy in midweek given how good the side are and how difficult they made it for Pep Guardiola's team when they came to the Etihad this season.
However, with qualification assured and the injury listed easing the precedent has already been set: Kevin De Bruyne and Kyle Walker were left at home as the squad travelled to Olympiacos this week in order to rest up for the priority of Premier League games.
Having time off has become even more important for players that are being flogged by their club and country like never before, so there is an extra incentive for all players involved on Saturday to convince their manager that they can put their feet up before Fulham next week.
Bad memories for Aguero
Sergio Aguero has an excellent scoring record against Burnley - as with pretty much every team - but his most recent memory will be limping out of the Premier League meeting in June that has seen him start just three games in the subsequent six months.
A hamstring injury was Aguero's most recent issue but it is still the knee that is of most concern for the coaching staff as they look to get the 32-year-old fully fit and firing again.
Netting against Burnley - or even just playing his way back into rhythm - would be an important boost for the player and the team going forward.
Wingers question
In the search for answers as to why City have been struggling to score goals, plenty have come to the conclusion that playing with inverted wingers are part of the problem.
Changing that against Olympiacos helped more chances to be created, although the Greeks weren't particularly good and while City's wingers weren't inverted they weren't especially wide either with that job being left to the full-backs.
Ferran Torres caused Burnley a number of problems when the teams met in the Carabao Cup earlier this season and it would be good to see him back in a wide role after filling in up front while Gabriel Jesus and Sergio Aguero were injured.
Time for Foden
Wherever he plays, surely there has to be a regular spot in the team now for Foden. The matchwinner in midweek has not started any of City's last four league games and having torn Liverpool apart at the Etihad in July his only appearance in this season's fixture was to get ready to come off the bench only to be sent back again.
Guardiola has preferred to use the 20-year-old out wide this year, although he is also destined for the central midfield spot. He'd take either on Saturday.
