Man City star set for summer exit after calling time on Etihad career

Nikita Parris has told Manchester City she is leaving the club this summer.

Parris, 25, has played a key role as City won their second FA Cup in three years, has become the WSL’s all time leading scorer and won the Football Writers’ Association Footballer of the Year.

But Parris has decided to leave City for a new challenge and broke the news on Tuesday, having helped them lift the FA Cup by beating West Ham at Wembley on Saturday.

England striker Parris is out of contract at City, has not agreed a new deal and has attracted major interest from other clubs and abroad as a free agent.

Her next destination has yet to be decided but City face losing their biggest star for nothing.

The Toxteth-born forward has also been championed for her charity work after setting up a football academy in her native Liverpool .
