Man City star Sergio Aguero sets another Premier League record with EA Sports award

Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero has won the EA Sports Player of the Month award for January.

Despite the Blues losing more ground to Liverpool in the Premier League title race, the Argentine has been in fine form, netting seven goals in all competitions including a hat-trick against Aston Villa.

His trio of strikes against the Villans saw him write his name into the history books again, overtaking Arsenal legend Thierry Henry to become the highest scoring foreign player in Premier League history as well as beating Alan Shearer's record for most hat-tricks in the division.

Aguero, the first City player to win the Player of the Month award this season, has now won the prize seven times - more than any other player in the history of the competition; Steven Gerrard and Harry Kane have won it six times. His achievements will be recognised with a special item in FIFA 20 Ultimate Team.

The 31-year-old was pictured holding his new item, rated at 92, featuring boosted attributes with the Player of the Month card design.

City fans can add his card to their squad by completing the new Squad Building Challenge in Ultimate Team which will be available for one month.
