Man City star says teammate vomited in Jack Grealish’s mum’s bag during wild celebrations

Ederson has revealed that Ruben Dias vomited in Jack Grealish 's mum's handbag during Manchester City 's wild celebrations after their treble win.

City defeated Inter Milan in the Champions League final last Saturday to complete the treble, the first time an English side has done so since Manchester United in 1999. The party following that win in Istanbul was predictably wild.

Many of the stand-out images have been from a worse-for-wear Grealish, who travelled from Turkey, Ibiza and Manchester as his own celebrations went on. But City's keeper has now revealed that it was Dias who suffered the most from the heavy drinking.

Ederson is currently with the Brazil squad for their friendlies against Guinea and Senegal. And he has opened up on just how wild the celebrations following the sealing of the treble were.

“After a very exhausting and incredible season, only United had managed to do it, of course we have to enjoy and let our emotions out. These are months of intense work. Who drinks, drinks," he said.

"Ninety nine per cent of the group drank, enjoyed it. Many players ended only on Monday. That’s part of it. You have to enjoy the good times. The missing one per cent is Nathan Aké, there are others who don’t drink, but they made an exception.

"Ruben Dias went to make that exception, but it didn’t work out for him. Two shots and he blew it all out (laughs). Coincidentally, it was all in Jack Grealish ’s mother’s bag. Jack is a player who evolved a lot.

"I see how difficult it is for a player to leave a team in which he played a leading role and arrive at Manchester City as just another player, adapting to the process and philosophy of the coach.

"He always enjoys the days off and nothing fairer than that, on the days off you can do what you want, just like you journalists, a person in charge of a company. On my days off I like to have a glass of wine with friends. But Jack was a figure apart in these celebrations.”

While Ederson is widely seen as being one of the Premier League's best goalkeepers, he has been unable to displace Alisson at international level. But the keeper has insisted he will not stop pushing his rival.

"Since the first time I came to the national team and when I started playing at Rio Ave, I never started as a starter, only at Manchester City. I always worked as if I were going to play, even if I wasn't playing," the City star added.

"I always took the chances that appeared because I trained and prepared for them. I started early at Rio Ave, then I went to Benfica, where Julio César was the starter, and an opportunity arose.

"In Selection it is the same thing. Of course, we are always optimistic about opportunities. It's to keep working for when the chances appear."
