Man City star Raheem Sterling sends Kylian Mbappe message to departing Liverpool striker

Liverpool fans were sent into another Kylian Mbappe induced social media meltdown on Wednesday night as Daniel Sturridge shared a picture alongside the World Cup winner.

Sturridge, who will leave Anfield this summer after six years at the club, with the Paris Saint-Germain striker to Instagram.

The 29-year-old wrote: "Serious baller [Kylian] Mbappe. His mom said he used to do my celebration and he showed me so I did his too.

"I remember when I used to do the [Faustino, former Newcastle United striker] Asprilla cartwheel!"

The image which was liked over 150,000 times was inundated with Liverpool fans urging Mbappe to "Come to Liverpool".

And nestled in among hundreds of comments was a message from the former Reds' winger Raheem Sterling.

The England international commented: "Eewww what a partnership that would be."

Sterling's message was accompanied by an upside-down smiling face and a single flame emoji.

Liverpool skipper Jordan Henderson also reacted to the post as he sent four applauding hand emojis.

While Olympic champion and Reds' fan Wayde Dreamer wrote: "I'm not going to lie bro, send him to use and let him bring the Sturridge dance back for us. Gonna miss you!"

The France superstar has been linked with a move away from the Ligue 1 champions.

But PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi responded to the rumours of a potential switch.

Earlier this month he said: "Will he (Mbappe) still be at PSG next year? I am not 100% sure but 200%."
