Man City star Raheem Sterling makes Liverpool admission

Raheem Sterling admits Liverpool are in great form and are "far ahead" in their efforts to win their first Premier League title.

The Man City winger, who missed out on winning the league with the Reds in 2014, is determined to make up an 11-point gap on the Reds.

City pipped Liverpool to the title last season by a single point, but Jurgen Klopp's side have pushed on this season to open up a big gap on Pep Guardiola's side.

Sterling admits City have a mountain to climb if they are to win their third straight title.

"They’ve had a good run of form, they’re hungry to win their first title, I’m not saying we’re not hungry, but we know how strong the league is,” Sterling told   Football Focus.

"Each team every year is becoming more of a threat and I’m confident that it will be a long season and a very interesting one.

"It’s football. At moments in time it looks like you’re down and out but we work in silence and keep working and keep chipping away. Ok, they’re far ahead but we’ll let it pan out and that’s all we can do. Win our games and focus on that."
