Man City star Raheem Sterling joins Manchester United's Paul Pogba in Dubai to continue injury rehab

Manchester City star Raheem Sterling has joined Manchester United ace Paul Pogba at the Nad Al Sheba Sports Complex in Dubai as he continues his recovery from injury.

The Blues squad has jetted off across the globe to enjoy some downtime after Sunday's fixture against West Ham was postponed due to Storm Ciara. It will now take place next Wednesday at the Etihad Stadium with City eager to avoid a fixture backlog in the coming months.

City manager Pep Guardiola confirmed that Sterling would miss the clash with the Hammers due to a hamstring injury sustained during the defeat against Tottenham.

Sterling is facing a race for fitness in time for City's crucial Champions League round of 16 showdown against Spanish champions Real Madrid at the Bernabeu on February 26.

During the winter break, the England international has been spotted in Dubai working at the same training facility as United midfielder Pogba.

The Frenchman is currently sidelined after undergoing ankle surgery and has posted a number of injury updates from the complex on his Instagram page.

Sterling and Pogba aren't the only high-profile footballers to have spent time there with former United winger Memphis Depay recently attending to focus on his recovery.

The Lyon forward is set to miss the remainder of the season with an anterior cruciate ligament injury throwing his participation in this summer's European Championship into doubt.

Liverpool and Arsenal players have used the facility over the winter break ahead of their return to Premier League action.
