Man City star makes Garth Crooks' BBC Sport Team of the Week

Manchester City fans would have been delighted to see Kevin De Bruyne back to his near best in the 2-2 home draw with Spurs on Saturday.

The talented Belgian put in a superb display as he contributed two assists in the controversial encounter. He whipped in a wonderful cross for Raheem Sterling to opening the scoring before feeding Sergio Aguero for the second.

De Bruyne managed only 19 Premier League games last season in a injury-hit campaign but he is already starting to look the part for Pep Guardiola's side.

BBC pundit Garth Crooks agrees and has named the midfielder in his Team of the Week for his performance against Spurs.

It seems that Crooks believes that the brilliant De Bruyne could even be starring in the next Harry Potter film, given his magic on the ball.

Writing for BBC Sport, he explained:  "It was only a matter of time before Pep Guardiola handed Kevin de Bruyne the captain's armband.

"The Belgium international is producing the most spellbinding performances again. We saw it two seasons ago when he replaced the irreplaceable Yaya Toure.

"De Bruyne's first assist was another one of those extraordinary passes that when it left his foot, only he and its recipient actually knew where it was going. In this case it was Raheem Sterling's head and went straight into the back of the net.

"De Bruyne is producing magic. In fact, he should be in the next Harry Potter movie."
