Man City star Kevin De Bruyne leaves Pep Guardiola lost for words

Pep Guardiola could not find the words to express Kevin De Bruyne's brilliance after another majestic assist helped Manchester City on their way to a 4-0 win over Crystal Palace.

Crystal Palace were making life difficult for the hosts before a brilliant ball from the right spun into the box from De Bruyne and was headed in by John Stones for the opening goal. An improved second half from the team saw them run out 4-0 winners to move up the Premier League table again, with City's Belgian taken off before the final whistle to keep him fresh for Wednesday's match with Aston Villa.

Guardiola may not have been able to explain De Bruyne's part in the opening goal but was left grateful for the special talent he has at his disposal that gives the Blues something that the manager cannot provide himself.

"What can I say, again?" he said of De Bruyne, who moved onto 10 assists in the league this season with less than half of the campaign gone.

"The managers can help many things but one thing that belongs to [the players] is the talent up front. Managers are incredibly fortunate or lucky to be in charge with this kind of player because it makes your life easier.

"In this type of game we have struggled in the last two seasons to beat them and I understood today why - it can only can be broken by the quality of the players up front and this is the special something where managers are not involved."
