Man City star 'drops transfer hint' to Raheem Sterling ahead of Premier League battle with Liverpool

Liverpool finished one point adrift of a treble-winning Manchester City last term, and Jurgen Klopp's side are set to reconvene for battle with the Premier League champions on August 4 at Wembley in the Community Shield.

But one Man City star who may be missing from the line-up for the inaugural curtain-raiser is Leroy Sane after the attacking midfielder appeared to drop a huge hint on his future.

The German international has been strongly linked with a return to the Bundesliga with Bayern Munich reportedly interested in acquiring the talented winger.

And a clip has now emerged on social media which seemingly shows Raheem Sterling and Sane in discussion about the No.19's prospective move.

Man City's official Twitter shared a video of Belgian ace Kevin de Bruyne performing a nutmeg on Sane during a pre-season training session in China.

As the footage airs, Sane seems to say: "Right now I don’t know anything", with Sterling responding: "Germany?"

The sound quality is quite poor and it is therefore difficult to distinguish Sane's exact response.

But some have interpreted him as saying: "I'll tell you after."

Another interpretation reads: "Like, I’d tell you, I really would".

Sane proved the difference in January as Pep Guardiola's side clawed their way back into the title race with a 2-1 win over Klopp's outfit.

The 23-year-old scored a crucial goal in the 72nd minute which saw Liverpool's hopes of invincibility dashed as City triumphed.

City have already been active in the transfer market so far this summer, with the biggest outlay going on defensive midfielder Rodri who signed for around £63million from Atletico Madrid.
