Man City star commits to Enzo Maresca project as he signs long-term contract

  • Belgian winger Jeremy Doku has committed his long-term future to Manchester City by signing a new five-year contract extension that keeps him at the Etihad Stadium until 2031.
  • Doku, who arrived from Rennes for £55m in 2023 and had two years remaining on his previous deal, is the fourth first-team player to agree fresh terms this summer following Phil Foden, Abdukodir Khusanov and Josko Gvardiol.
  • Expressing his delight at the extension, Doku stated that new manager Enzo Maresca's aggressive attacking style suits his game perfectly as the FA Cup and Carabao Cup winners prepare for the upcoming season.
  • Manchester City director of football Hugo Viana praised Doku's development, attitude and unique dynamic, describing the winger as an exceptional talent who is loved across the entire club.
  • Doku could feature this weekend for City when they face Arsenal in the Community Shield in Cardiff.
