Man City star Aymeric Laporte sends message to Mikel Arteta after his Arsenal move

Aymeric Laporte has moved to thank Mikel Arteta after he left Manchester City to join Arsenal.

The Spaniard has swapped Manchester for north London after leaving his role as assistant head coach to Pep Guardiola at Manchester City to become the permanent successor to Unai Emery at Arsenal .

It is his first role in top level management on his own, having worked at City with Guardiola over the past three years.

And Manchester City defender Laporte, who has worked with the Spaniard at the Etihad Stadium in recent seasons, and enjoyed success in the Premier League with City crowned champions again last season, has sent a message to the 37-year-old.

Writing on social networking website Twitter, Laport posted a four-word message to Arteta, which read: "Thank for all Mikel. suerte [Luck].

Arteta has signed a three-and-a-half year contract at Arsenal, and is set to hold his first press conference as Gunners head coach this afternoon, ahead of the Premier League clash with Everton at Goodison Park tomorrow (Saturday).
