Man City star Aymeric Laporte has understandable reaction to FIFA 21 rating

Manchester City defender Aymeric Laporte isn't pleased about his low pace rating in FIFA 21.

Fans of the best-selling game franchise were thrilled on Thursday as EA Sport released the ratings for the top 100 players in the game ahead of its October release.

City featured heavily among the best rated players, with nine representatives in the top 100. Kevin De Bruyne is the highest-rated Blues player as he clocks in with a 90 rating, with only Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and Robert Lewandowski ahead of him.

Sergio Aguero (89) and Raheem Sterling (88) make it into the top 20 and goalkeeper Ederson has also been rated a well earned 88.

Laporte just made it in the top 50 with an 87 rating along with Bernardo Silva, while Kyle Walker (85), Riyad Mahrez (85) and Rodri (85) complete the list of City players in the top 100.

An 87 rating for Laporte reflects his excellent performances ever since he arrived at City and it puts him as the fourth best centre-back on the game, behind only Virgil van Dijk, Sergio Ramos and Kalidou Koulibaly.

However, the Frenchman wasn't completely pleased with his stats as he was only given a pace rating of 63 out of 100.

Laporte took to Twitter to joke about the unfavourable rating, posting a photo of his reaction after discovering that he won't have much speed in the game.

The official EA Sports FIFA account replied by writing: "Only way from here is up."

EA have already confirmed that FIFA 21 has an official UK and worldwide release date of October 9, 2020, but some editions will allow you to play FIFA 21 slightly earlier than this.

If you pre-order the FIFA 21 Ultimate Edition or Champions Edition on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC you’ll be able to play from October 6, 2020, with the Standard Edition allowing fans to play from the game's official UK and worldwide release date of October 9, 2020.
