Jack Grealish could make his Premier League debut for Manchester City at Tottenham after being included in their travelling squad on Sunday.
City took the train down to London on Sunday morning ahead of their afternoon kick-off at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Grealish, who made his debut off the bench in the Community Shield last week, was part of a strong 21-man squad, which saw all fit senior players included after the pre-season squads were boosted by a number of academy talents.
The only first-team regular missing was Phil Foden, who is out for a month with an injury picked up over the summer.
However, Pep Guardiola got a boost with the inclusion of Kevin De Bruyne, who the manager had effectively ruled out on Friday.
De Bruyne missed the Community Shield with injury, and Guardiola had confirmed he was yet to take part in a full training session. Despite that, he was seen travelling to London with his teammates in a group that also included all fit England and Brazil players.
"He's getting better, every day. We're still waiting," Guardiola said of De Bruyne on Friday. "He cannot do the full training session, some with us and some alone. We'll see what happens in the next days."
Regarding the rest of the internationals to return - like Raheem Sterling, John Stones, Kyle Walker, Ederson and Gabriel Jesus, Guardiola said: "They came back really well. The sun and rest produced a good effect. I would say really good.
"Everyone is ready, important is when they came back they were happy with the right energy. They need a little bit of time after four weeks off and two training sessions. It's the Premier League in two days and we travel to London to get a good result."
Aymeric Laporte is back after returning from isolation due to Covid-19 protocols, giving City a strong squad to pick from in terms of quality if not fitness.
Guardiola was seen deep in conversation with Rodri as the players waited in the rain for their train to Spurs.
The strength of the squad might not translate into a starting XI, with Guardiola warning that his returning players will need more time to get back up to fitness.
He said: "Every player needs time to get his best. Yesterday [Thursday] was the first day we were all together, except Phil but he was in the locker room with us. Then we start the Premier League on Sunday.
"We need like last season, like every pre-season. We decide some players come back later than usual because they need rest. The way they behave so far has been exceptional. Hopefully sooner rather than later they reach fitness."
City can name nine substitutes this year, so the squad will be trimmed by one for the matchday squad later - presumably with third-choice goalkeeper Scott Carson dropping out.
Man City travelling squad to face Spurs: Ederson, Steffen, Carson; Walker, Cancelo, Dias, Ake, Stones, Laporte, Mendy, Zinchenko; Fernandinho, Rodri, Gundogan, De Bruyne, Bernardo, Grealish; Mahrez, Torres, Sterling, Jesus.
