Man City set to sign Partizan winger Filip Stevanovic in January transfer window

Manchester City are set to complete the signing of Partizan winger Filip Stevanovic in the January transfer window.

While the deal is not yet complete, it is expected that the Blues will pay around £6m for the 18-year-old winger who is already into his third season of professional football.

Stevanovic has been linked with a number of top European clubs as his profile has risen, with a summer move to United reported to be close despite the suggestion being firmly denied by club sources.

City are close to winning the race for his signature and, should the move be finalised, will make a decision on the best pathway for him when he arrives in January. Given he is getting regular football with Partizan, a realistic option would be for him to stay there for the rest of the 2020/21 season but City have their own vast network of clubs where he could gain further experience.

Stevanovic plays predominantly as a left winger but on the other flank or in an attacking midfield role. He has three goals and two assists from ten league appearances for Partizan this season.

City brought in a winger to replace Leroy Sane in summer, signing Ferran Torres from Valencia for an initial fee of £21m. Torres has been introduced slowly this season but scored in the Carabao Cup at Burnley last month and came off the bench this week against Porto to get his first Champions League goal for the campaign.
