Man City set to sign Juventus teenage forward Pablo Moreno in swap deal

Manchester City are set to sign 18-year-old Juventus forward Pablo Moreno in a deal that will see Felix Correia go the other way.

Moreno came through the Barcelona academy before moving to Juventus in the summer of 2018. The Spaniard had made a senior matchday squad before the end of his first season at the club but has not been used this season by Maurizio Sarri and a fee in the region of £9m has been agreed for him to sign for City.

As part of that fee, Correia will join Juventus after just one season as a City player. Correia, a 19-year-old Portuguese winger was signed last summer from Sporting Lisbon and has spent the season with Dutch club AZ Alkmaar on loan. He has travelled to Turin to complete a medical for Juventus, with a formal announcement of the deal expected this week.

The two clubs worked together last summer when City bought Joao Cancelo for £60m and sold Danilo to the Serie A champions for £34m.

Girona, the Spanish second division club under the City Football Group umbrella, has been reported as a potential option on loan for next season for Moreno.

City have also moved to bring winger Jayden Braaf back early to be part of the first team squad for the rest of the season. Guardiola had said that the club were only calling up academy players that lived near Manchester, but the decision has been made to promote Braaf.
