PFC Slavia Sofia say an agreement has been reached for Manchester City to complete the signing of young midfielder Filip Krastev next week.
Krastev, 18, has passed a medical at City, according to Slavia chairman Ventseslav Stefanov, and the club say the deal will be finalised soon.
Speaking to dsport, Stefanov said Krastev will remain with the Bulgarian club until the end of 2020 before moving to the City Football Academy.
He said: "It recently became clear that Philip performed well in the tests. Everything went well. Now he will return to Bulgaria, and at the beginning of next week we should finalise the deal. Manchester City like him a lot. He will stay to play in Slavia until the winter."
The Bulgarian U19 international has already made 25 senior appearances for Sofia, with one assist to his name.
A Slavia Sofia statement said: "The parameters for the transfer of Philip Krastev to Manchester City have already been specified. The contract will be signed next week and will be announced to the public as soon as it is finalised. We urge the media not to bother Filip Krastev, who continues his preparations with the team for the upcoming matches of the championship."
According to Belgian newspaper Het Belang van Limburg, Krastev will sign a 'multi-year' contract at City, but he is expected to be sent to new City Football Group side Lommel SK in January 2021.
The CFG added Lommel to their portfolio recently, and Krastev would be one of the first players to join the Belgian side on loan, should he make that transfer.
