Man City 'set Leroy Sane asking price as Bayern Munich prepare opening bid'

Manchester City have reportedly set their asking price for Leroy Sane, who has been linked with a move to Bayern Munich.

After Bayern president Uli Hoeness confirmed that there is interest from the Bundesliga champions, speculation has grown over his future at City after a frustrating season at the Etihad.

Sane started and ended the season on the fringes of the first team, and some reports have claimed manager Pep Guardiola is prepared to let him leave in order to free up funds and room for another attacker in the squad.

And The Sun says Sane could be allowed to leave if an acceptable bid of over £90m is received ‘to help stay within Uefa’s Financial Fair Play limits.’

The report adds that Pep Guardiola is keen to keep Sane, but Benfica’s Joao Felix would be targeted as a replacement.

Felix has a release clause of €120m (£105m), and is reportedly also wanted by Manchester United.

Meanwhile, City youngster Patrick Roberts is said to be a target for Leicester, in a move that would see him link up with former Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers again.

Roberts spent two years on loan at Celtic under Rodgers, before an injury-interrupted season at Girona this year.

The 22-year-old has one year left on his contract, and The Sun say he could be available for as little as £4m.

The report says City may look to cash in on the Englishman before he would be able to leave for free next season.
