Man City's new third kit for 2019/20 season is available from today - and it's dividing opinions on Twitter

Its difficult to find much to criticise about Manchester City in this present moment in time. But one thing some fans aren't happy with is Puma's new and garish design on the third kit being launched today.

The third kit is announced ahead of their Asia tour as preparations ramp up ahead of the 2019/20 season - but not everybody is a fan of the new and rather garish design.

As the purpose of a third kit is to ensure you have no kit clashes, with other club, however, it's hard to argue that it doesn't tick those boxes.

City's own description is "vibrant, disruptive and daring".

But the new colour scheme - which appears to have taken inspiration from a Serengeti sunset - has its fair share of descriptions on social media.

Fans have likened it to a McDonald's Frozen Strawberry Lemonade or the infamous 'Sex on the Beach Cocktail'.

Alongside the dissenters, however, are plenty who are happy with the new design.

The division caused on social media is evidently a key part of football club's retail marketing strategy.

It follows the same bold design trend on away and third kits that are becoming commonplace among Europe's elite clubs.
