Manchester City midfielder Ilkay Gundogan has praised Mikel Arteta's coaching style after their time working together at the Etihad Stadium.
Arteta spent five years as a player at Arsenal before retiring and joining City as Pep Guardiola's assistant coach in 2016.
The 37-year-old played a key role in the club's back-to-back Premier League titles, before leaving to replace Unai Emery as Arsenal's head coach in December 2019.
Gundogan, who joined City from Borussia Dortmund in the same summer that Arteta joined, has enjoyed huge success since his switch to England, winning two titles, one FA Cup and three League Cups.
And the Germany international has praised Arteta's style of coaching, detailing three key traits which will hold the Gunners boss in good stead for the future.
In a Twitter Q&A, one fan asked Gundogan: 'How was it working with Arteta?'
The 29-year-old responded: 'We’ve had a very good relationship at ManCity. He’s a very empathetic, caring and hard working coach.'
Elsewhere, Arteta is still in recovery after testing positive for coronavirus last week.
The Arsenal head coach contracted COVID-19, forcing the Gunners to lockdown the training ground and the entire squad to self-isolate.
The Premier League also suspended all games until 4 April in the wake of the diagnosis. In a social media post over the weekend, Arteta's wife provided an update on her husband and revealed he was "feeling fine".
She told her 37.8k followers on Instagram: "Under the circumstances that we are right now, I felt the responsibility of sharing our situation.
"I want to say thank you to everyone who sent good vibes, texts, emails and calls, really it’s been overwhelming.
"I understand as well that you want to know what’s going on.

"My husband is feeling fine, he is well. It’s true that he had symptoms of the virus but the symptoms would have never stopped him from going to work in a normal situation."
She continued: "He would have just taken an ibuprofen or paracetamol and he would have gone to work so really, it’s nothing major.
"Some temperatures, some headaches but that’s it. That’s his experience. My kids and I are perfectly well.
"Apparently the virus is not lethal. It could be for a certain amount of people but the majority are going to go through it with mild symptoms.
"Maybe some people have more symptoms than others but it won’t be anything really bad."
