Man City's Benjamin Mendy celebrates Barcelona goals against Liverpool in Camp Nou crowd

Manchester City left-back Benjamin Mendy has been filmed celebrating Barcelona's goals as Liverpool were well beaten in Wednesday's Champions League semi-final first leg.

Mendy and his City team-mate are on course to beat Liverpool to the Premier League title with just two games of the league campaign to play.

Ahead of a crucial penultimate weekend of the domestic season, Mendy was invited by Barcelona's Samuel Umtiti to attend the much-anticipated clash at Camp Nou.

Luis Suarez, against his former club, scored opener before Lionel Messi put the tie virtually beyond the Reds with a simple tap in and a remarkable 35-yard free kick for this 599th and 600th goals for Barcelona.

It is unclear which goal Mendy is celebrating but, either way, he gives it both barrels as Liverpool's dreams of silverware fade further.

City are next in action on Monday night as they host Leicester City after Liverpool have travelled to Newcastle on Saturday evening.
