Man City rising star Taylor Harwood-Bellis completes move to Vincent Kompany's Anderlecht

Anderlecht have completed the loan signing of Manchester City defender Taylor Harwood-Bellis.

The Belgian club's manager VIncent Kompany specially requested the services of the 19-year-old England youth international for a season, and the chance to play at a good level and learn from a Blue legend was too big a temptation for Harwood-Bellis.

The player had a successful loan at Blackburn for the second half of last season, establishing himself as first choice, and City boss Pep Guardiola wanted the Stockport-born teenager to continue his education this season.

City are down to four centre backs with Eric Garcia leaving next week to join Barcelona on a free transfer, but Harwood-Bellis has been deemed not quite ready for first team football at Premier League level with the champions, but has clearly moved beyond the standard of the Under-23 league, Premier League 2.

Anderlecht, who finished third in the league last season, signed former Southampton and Holland international Wesley Hoedt last week and hope to link up Harwood-Bellis with the other new boy.
