Renowned transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano has claimed Sergio Aguero is set to join Barcelona at the end of the season.
While reports have heavily linked Aguero with a move to Barcelona since he announced he would be departing Manchester City at the end of the campaign after an incredible 10-year period in Manchester, the deal is now reported to be done.
Aguero leaves Manchester as the Blues' top scorer of all time, earning legendary status through his prolific goalscoring exploits, and it's believed playing alongside six-time Ballon d'Or winner Lionel Messi - close friend and fellow countryman - appeals to Aguero.
It's claimed the 32-year-old will sign a two-year deal at the Camp Nou with the Spanish giants and it's said that a bonus is included in his contract if Barcelona win the Champions League, although Aguero could add that trophy to his collection next week with City.
That would be a fitting leaving present for a player that's given so much to City, but once the season has ended the MEN understands Pep Guardiola's attention will turn to finding Aguero's replacement, with the club searching for a new centre-forward in the market.
Erling Haaland has been regularly linked with a transfer to the Etihad, but City might have been dealt a blow in any potential pursuit of the Borussia Dortmund star forward, as the German side have now secured Champions League football.
Consequently, the Mirror report chiefs at Dortmund are now confident of keeping Haaland at the club for another season.
