Man City offer five players to Tottenham for Harry Kane deal and more transfer rumours

Manchester City have offered Tottenham five players as potential makeweights to sign Harry Kane.

That is according to The Athletic who report the Blues have proposed that Aymeric Laporte, Bernardo Silva, Raheem Sterling, Gabriel Jesus and Riyad Mahrez could be used in any potential deal for Kane this summer, alongside a substantial transfer fee.

Reports earlier this week claimed that City had submitted a bid of £100m for Kane with the option of a player as a makeweight in the deal and these fresh details have now supposedly named the five players that are under consideration for such a move.

The article claims Spurs have little interest in a deal of that nature and that chairman Daniel Levy's stance on Kane hasn't changed - it's worth noting, the MEN understand that, contrary to reports, no bid has been made from City to sign the 27-year-old forward.

As the search for Sergio Aguero's long-term replacement intensifies at the Etihad, Sport Italia claim Erling Haaland has agreed terms to join Real Madrid, but that the Spanish club still need to negotiate with Borussia Dortmund, which is likely to be the stumbling block.

Haaland, 20, has enjoyed a meteoric rise in Germany and his performances have Europe's most elite sides set to compete for his signature, but Dortmund have made it clear they're not prepared to sell this summer and a departure next year is more feasible.

It's believed Haaland has a release clause of between €75m and €100m that would be active at the end of next season.
